Smokey The Bear this one’s for you. The lovable, cute, responsible host of Safety meetings worldwide landed the front of a So Gnar tee shirt. The National Forest Service icon has influenced us all since childhood, and as chief safety advocate, we wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and your guidance to keep us all a lot more “safe.” Forest fires in Colorado have raised our awareness…

as wells as our responsibility to assist with keeping Smokey’s message more heard and understood than ever before. Although the proceeds from this tee shirt seem very small compared to the massive loss, our efforts will accumulate and at least help raise awareness and contribute what we can to the victims.

The members of So Gnar spent a lot of time enjoying the national forest land camping, snowboarding, hiking and biking. With Safety on our mind here in Colorado, due to tough times around the forests this summer. If your not aware of the wildfires, Colorado was hit with extremely dry conditions around the majority of it’s national forest land which has resulted in a $449.7 Million dollars in damage, according to the Insurance adjusters through the Huffington Post source.

The results have been devastating. Fires swept through areas north of Fort Collin’s, Colorado Springs and Boulder including the Eby Creek, Flagstaff, High Park, Lightner, Little Sand, Pine Ridge, Treasure, Waldo Canyon, Weber fires. Each of these have caused the destruction of thousands of acres of the beautiful Colorado forests. There is not much Smokey can do to help with these unfortunate happenings besides to coordinate the appropriate Safety measures. This is a limited tee shirt run that a portion of the proceeds will be channeled into the efforts to help aid the victims of the fires.
