Deltron 3030 Design

I’m still in disbelief as I write this. As far back as I can remember, Deltron 3030 has had as big of an impact on myself as possibly any other hip hop album. When I attended college at the University of Minnesota, my roomate and I (Mr. Pat Milbery) would play this album NON stop. It pretty much was the soundtrack for 2000. After laying dormant for 12 years, Deltron 3030 is reuniting! How fitting that Pat and I have a hand in bringing this legendary group to Denver…our current home-base.

Now I had the opportunity to design a shirt and poster for one of my all time favorite music projects. Dang! This one is special. Had to pull out all the stops. Figured my love of cities and Deltron’s vision of a bleak futuristic society could mesh perfectly. A society in which humans have used up all of the Earth’s resources.

I opted to create a 3D city scape planet. One that expresses one of my personal visions of the future. Where overpopulation consumes the globe. A planet where the “environment” as we know it no longer exists. Cities, nations, and concrete intersect, and fuse together to create one global city.

So-Gnar
will have a limited number of these shirts available at the show. We opted to make this EXTREMELY limited. As with the project itself…limited. I hope Denver realizes the magnitude of this event.
