This was the stop the So-Gnar crew was really anticipating, being right in our backyard, it was the most fun thus far. With the weather nice and sunny with some clouds here and there, this stop could not have fallen on a better date. We had Pat Milbery, Captain Safety, Damon Michaels, Dave Sheets, Mitch Schmidt, Andre Colbert, Josh Rivera and Laura Pukas all out at this stop helping everything run smoothly. The Zumiez employee Amber Patterson also did a great job with keeping the energy alive throughout the day.
Through marketing and promotion from all ends, the Colorado crowd really stepped it up and filled up the whole event till the days end. Pretty sure it helped too with music artists Freddie Gibbs and Curren$y, the Deathwish Skateboard Team, the Icecream Skateboard Team and the crew from Baker Skateboards including Lizard King and Andrew Reynolds probably helped get people out to this event as well.
The stop was also another great one for our team rider Andre Colbert who made it to the Finals in the Best Foot Forward skate competition, even after slamming the back of his head on the course.
Once again our art lounge booth kept lots of fans happy with the art and game interactive activities we had for everyone to enjoy. At this stop we ran out of every single promo item from custom posters to stickers to So-Gnar “Create or Die” wristbands. We were also complemented by all on the Zumiez Couch Mural that was started with an incredible art piece by Dave Sheets, Captain Safety and Pat Milbery. Even “The Boss” himself Andrew Reynolds came over and did a little #Baker4Life tag on the mural.
We are really looking forward to the next tour date which is this Friday 6/14/2013. See you soon Houston!
